Role Overview: As a Data Scientist at Podproza, you'll play a crucial role in advancing our blockchain projects and driving data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with a cross-functional and international team to build scalable systems for detecting, preventing, and mitigating cryptocurrency fraud and financial crime. This position is based in Prague, preferably, or remotely from anywhere in Europe. What You'll Do:
• Advanced Data Analysis: Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to explore large datasets, identify trends, and uncover actionable insights. Your work will enhance our understanding of transaction patterns and contribute to developing innovative solutions.
• Python Programming and Deployment: Develop and deploy high-quality Python code for data analysis. Ensure the code is optimized, well-documented, and suitable for production environments. Your coding expertise will be pivotal in automating analysis processes and maintaining data accuracy.
• Autonomous Research and Validation: Conduct independent research to validate findings and ensure the reliability of results. Your ability to work autonomously and produce trustworthy outcomes is essential to our data-driven approach.
• Creative Pattern Identification: Use your creativity to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends in transaction data. Develop methodologies for detecting unusual behavior and contribute to fraud prevention and detection efforts.
• Data Integration and Quality Assurance: Integrate data from various sources to create comprehensive datasets. Implement rigorous validation and cleansing processes to maintain data quality and integrity.
• Tailored Insights and Visualization: Generate customized insights and create compelling visualizations that help clients make informed decisions. Utilize data storytelling techniques to communicate complex information effectively.
• Continuous Learning and Industry Awareness: Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and blockchain technology. Apply this knowledge to refine your analysis techniques and contribute to the evolution of our investigation processes.
Your Qualifications: Required:
• Experience: 2-10 years of experience in the field of data science.
• Python Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and code deployment.
• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to convert data into actionable insights.
• Autonomy: Capable of working independently and producing reliable, validated results.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts in clear, concise English (Czech language not required, but Prague-based candidates are preferred). Preferred:
• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Blockchain Knowledge: Familiarity with blockchain technology is a plus but not required, as we provide internal training.
• Creativity: Ability to creatively identify patterns and trends in data, contributing to innovative problem-solving.
• Version Control: Knowledge of Git for version control.
